Incidents of note:
05/10/2025 – Anti-social behaviour – Mill Road, Eastry. Report of group of youths throwing stones at a property. No damage was caused. I received information about who may have been part of the group and attended their address to speak to them with their parents, about the potential impact of their behaviour on local residents.
06/10/2025 – Burglary – Liss Road, Eastry. Business premises broken into and multiple tools and equipment stolen. Enquires are still ongoing.
If anyone has any information, please contact 101 and quote the following reference number: 46/173068/25.
17/10/2025 – Road Traffic Collision – Eastry. Vehicle crashed into a property and the driver fled the scene. Police attended and the driver has been identified, and an investigation is still ongoing.
26/10/2025 – Suspicious vehicle – Mill Lane, Eastry. Whilst on mobile patrol, a vehicle being driven in an anti-social manner reacted to the marked police vehicle I was driving. The occupants abandoned the vehicle and fed but were located and detained a short distance away by additional officers. Enquires were conducted and the vehicle was seized for no insurance. This was a great result in taking a vehicle off the road which was likely going to be used to cause anti-social behaviour in the area.
28/10/2025 – Anti-social behaviour – Gore Road, Eastry. Report of youths constantly ringing the doorbell of a property.
Crime Prevention Advice I am aware there has been incidents of anti-social behaviour in Eastry however I believe more has been reported on the local residents Eastry Facebook page which has not been reported to the police. This includes, graffiti, throwing eggs and stones at residents’ properties, and ringing doorbells and running away late into the evening. This behaviour can be extremely distressing for people, particularly those who live alone or who are being repeatedly targetted. Our houses should be a sanctuary that we feel safe in, and we should not be taunted for other people’s amusement. Since the reports, I have taken part in foot patrol in Eastry to engage with the local community, and completed a letter drop with advice for residents experiencing anti-social behaviour. I have also identified those who recently may have been involved in the anti-social behaviour and spoken to them with their parents to make them aware of the potential impact they are having on the community. Please can I encourage residents to report anti-social behaviour through 101 or through the online reporting tool, on the Kent Police website. If you have CCTV footage of those acting in an anti-social or criminal manner, please save the footage and mention it when you make the report, so that a link can be sent to you, and this can be uploaded to a central portal which officers can view. If you experience anti-social behaviour, I encourage residents not to engage with the perpetrators as this can cause further issues and to report incidents to the police so that the appropriate action can be taken to stop the behaviour. | ||
